St Marthas Hospital

St Marthas is located at No. 5 on Nrupatunga Road, right across from the big RBI building. It is a very central part of Bangalore, so there is almost always a lot of traffic and people moving past our front gates. The hospital has been sitting here for a very long time, and you can really tell that by the way some of the older buildings on the campus look. It is a large property with a lot of old trees, which actually helps keep the whole place a bit cooler and much quieter than you would expect for being right in the middle of a city like this. We have many different departments and wards spread out across the grounds. Finding your way around for the first time might take you a few minutes because of how the paths wind between the different wings. It is a busy place every single day of the week, with patients coming in from every part of the city. The central location makes it easy to get here by bus, although finding a place to park your car can be a real struggle on Nrupatunga Road. The atmosphere inside is pretty old-school and traditional. It is not like one of those new private hospitals that look more like hotels; it is a real working hospital with high ceilings and wide corridors. The staff here are very used to the heavy daily flow of people.
