St Josephs Evening College

St Josephs Evening College has been sitting here on Museum Road for quite some time. Being in the heart of Bangalore means there is always noise from the traffic outside, but inside, it’s a different world. We open up mostly when the sun starts going down because that’s when our students finish their day jobs. It’s interesting to see people coming in straight from work, looking tired but ready to sit through a lecture. We’ve got this old building that has seen a lot of years. Sometimes the fans make a bit of a racket, but nobody seems to mind much. We don’t do things in a flashy way. It’s just classrooms, blackboards, and people trying to get a degree while managing a full-time life. Museum Road is a busy spot, so getting here can be a struggle for some. We’ve had many batches pass through these halls. Some of the staff have been here so long they remember the names of students from ten years ago. It’s a bit of a community, really. We don’t have those fancy modern glass walls you see in the new offices nearby. We just have sturdy benches and a lot of history. Most evenings, you’ll find us huddled over notes or walking through the courtyard. It’s a steady kind of life we have here, watching the city lights come on while we work.
