St Claret College

St Claret College is tucked away on the 5th Cross Road of Mes Ring Road, right in Sharadhamba Nagar. It’s a busy part of Bengaluru, especially around Jalahalli Village. If you’re driving through the 560013 area, you might miss the turn if you aren't looking for it. The college has been part of this neighborhood for quite some time. It’s a place where young people come after finishing school to figure out what they want to do next. The building is large enough to hold many classrooms, and the corridors are usually buzzing with students talking about their exams or where they’re going for lunch. Being in a city like Bengaluru, the traffic outside is always a factor, so the morning rush is always a bit chaotic at the gates. We have a mix of staff who have been here for decades and some newer faces too. It’s not all shiny and new; some corners could use a fresh coat of paint, and the fans sometimes make a bit of a racket. But it feels real. The students hang out near the entrance or in the small open spaces between classes. It’s a typical college life here, with lots of paperwork, crowded notice boards, and the sound of bells marking the end of another hour. We just keep the doors open and the lights on for whoever is coming to learn. It is a very practical place for getting an education in this city.
