Sri Varu Power Tools Co is located at No. 22 on Silver Jubilee Park Road. If you’ve ever been to SJ Park Road, you know how packed it gets with hardware shops and people looking for parts. We fit right in with the rest of them. Our shop isn’t huge, but we pack a lot of power tools into every corner we have. We’ve got drills, grinders, and all sorts of things for construction work. It’s a noisy street and we usually have to raise our voices to be heard over the traffic outside. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shopkeepers on the block. We help each other out sometimes when we’re short on something. It’s a hard-working atmosphere. We don't have any polished sales pitches. We just tell you what the tool does and how much it costs. Sometimes we get customers who aren't sure what they need, so we spend time showing them the different models. The floor is concrete and often has a bit of grease or dust on it. It’s not a showroom; it’s a working shop. We work long hours, especially on Saturdays when everyone is out doing their shopping. It can be exhausting, but we like being right in the middle of all the action on this famous road. We just keep things moving and try to stay busy.
