Sri Satish Press Tools

The workshop for Sri Satish Press Tools is tucked away at B-88/45 on the 5th Main Road in the Rajajinagar Industrial Estate. It is a place where you will always hear the sound of machines running and metal hitting metal. We have been working out of this spot for a long time, and the floor is stained with oil from years of hard work. Our hands are usually greasy by ten in the morning because there is always a tool that needs fixing or a press that needs adjusting. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear nice clothes. We spend a lot of time bent over blueprints or measuring pieces of steel to make sure everything fits just right. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the day just getting them back in order, which can be frustrating, but that is how it goes in a machine shop. The light comes in through the high windows, and you can see the dust dancing in the air. We keep a small stove in the corner for making tea, which is pretty much what keeps us going through the long afternoons. The industrial estate is a noisy neighborhood, but we are used to it by now. We just focus on our work and try to get the jobs done for the other local factories that rely on us.
