Sri Manjunath Battery Works

Over on Karve Road 91 in Malleshwaram, you’ll find us at Sri Manjunath Battery Works. This part of Malleshwaram has its own vibe, and we’ve been part of it for a while. Our shop is mostly filled with batteries, tools, and the smell of grease. It’s a practical kind of place. We don’t spend much on decorations because that’s not what people come here for. They usually come in because their car won’t start or their backup power is acting up. We spend a lot of time testing cells and cleaning terminals. It’s messy work, and our hands are usually stained by the end of the shift. The shop is small, so we have to be careful where we stack things so nobody trips. We see a lot of familiar faces from the neighborhood. Some folks stop by just to say hello while they’re out doing their shopping. Malleshwaram is a nice area, even if parking on Karve Road is a total nightmare most days. We just keep our heads down and focus on the work. There’s always a battery that needs charging or a customer waiting for a fix. It’s not a glamorous life, but it keeps us busy and we like the routine of it. We open up early and stay until the work is mostly finished for the day. Sometimes the rains make the shop floor damp, but we just mop it up and keep going.
