Mariyappanapalya is where we spend most of our time. It’s a busy spot in Bangalore near the university area. Sri Malai Mahadeshwara Motor Driving School has been around here for quite a while now. We keep the cars running and wait for students at Shop No. 63/3 on the main road. The road outside gets crowded sometimes, but that's just how it is in this city. We teach people how to handle the clutch and brakes without getting too stressed out about the traffic. It’s mostly local folks coming in from the neighborhood. Some learn fast and others take a few extra days to get the hang of things. We don't have a fancy office or anything polished. It's just a simple place on Mariyappanapalya Main Road. The sun gets really hot in the afternoons while we're out on the practice runs. Most of the day is just spent explaining the signs and watching the mirrors. We try to keep things relaxed because people are usually nervous when they first sit in the driver's seat. It’s honest work and we like seeing someone finally get their license after a few weeks of trying. Sometimes the traffic is a complete mess, but we manage to get through it.
