Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Driving School

Teaching people how to drive around Magadi Road is what we do at Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Driving School. The office is tucked away on 8th Cross, right near Anjan Theatre. It’s number 47, but some people know it as the new number 1/2. I’ve been sitting in this chair for years helping folks get their licenses. We have a few cars that we use for the lessons. They aren't brand new, but they run fine and get the job done. Traffic near the theatre can be a bit much in the evenings, so we usually schedule the nervous beginners for the early morning slots. It's quieter then. My brother and I run the show mostly. We don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings and we're out on a lesson, we just have to call back later. People in Bangalore know how the roads are, it takes a lot of patience. We don't use any fancy simulators or anything like that. Just real cars on real roads. We've taught all sorts of people, from young kids to older folks who finally decided it was time to learn. Most of our students come from the local neighborhood. It's a busy part of town, but we know the shortcuts and the quiet backstreets for practice. We just want to make sure you don't stall the engine in the middle of a junction. That's the main thing. We keep the paperwork simple and just get on with the teaching.
