Sri Lakshmi Battey House

Down here at Odhav Road 78, things stay pretty dusty. Sri Lakshmi Battey House is tucked inside the Raghuvir Industrial Estate in Nagarabhavi. It's an industrial area, so there is always noise from trucks and machines nearby. We spend our time dealing with batteries of all sizes. Some are small, some are heavy enough that you really feel it in your back the next morning. The shop isn't exactly a showroom; it's more of a working space filled with stacks of units and tools scattered around. We've been in this spot for a good bit of time now. Most of our day is spent checking charge levels or lugging replacements around for people who come in. It gets hot in the afternoons under the roof, but we’re used to it by now. The tea stall nearby is where we usually take a break when things slow down for a minute. People from the other units in the estate drop by to chat or ask about their vehicle power. We don't do anything fancy, just the basic work that needs doing. Sometimes the floor gets a bit stained from the work, but that’s expected in a battery place. We just open up, do the jobs that come in, and head home when the sun goes down. It's a steady rhythm here in Nagarabhavi. There is always a task waiting for us when we get in.
