If you head out toward Hesaraghatta on the edge of the city, you’ll find us at Chinmey Hills. It’s a bit of a drive from the main parts of Bangalore, but it’s much quieter out here. The air is a little fresher, and you can see the hills around the campus. We have several buildings dedicated to different engineering branches. The labs are where most of the work happens, and they usually smell like electronics or grease depending on the department you are visiting. Students come here from all over the state, so the hostel is a big part of the life on campus. The mess serves the same kind of food every week, and there’s always a bit of grumbling about that from the students. We have a lot of stairs to climb since the terrain isn't flat. The office handles all the admissions and exam forms, and it usually gets very hectic around the end of the semester when results are due. It’s an institute for people who want to learn technical skills without too much fluff. We have some green patches where students sit with their laptops or just hang out between their afternoon lectures. The workshop has some old machines and some newer ones too. It’s not a fancy corporate campus, but it’s a place where you can get your work done. Most of us have been working here for years and we know the shortcut paths between the different blocks.
