Sri Jayalakshmi Automat

Our shop is located at 62 Rajajinagar on Dr Tcm Royan Road. It is a bit of a crowded stretch, especially during the morning rush when the heavy buses go by. We have been running Sri Jayalakshmi Automat from this spot for quite some time now. The floor usually has some grease marks on it because of the machines we handle every day. It is not a quiet place. There is always the sound of metal or a motor running somewhere in the back. We keep a lot of spare parts on the wooden shelves, and sometimes it takes us a few minutes to find the exact one we need. The light coming through the front door is mostly blocked by the parked scooters and bikes outside on the pavement. We usually have tea from the stall three doors down around four in the afternoon when things slow down for a bit. Most of our day is spent talking to people who bring in their equipment or looking through old catalogs to order what is missing from the stock. The walls used to be a different color, but now they are mostly just a dull grey from the smoke and dust. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and someone will be there behind the counter to help out. We stay busy until the sun goes down and then we clean up the tools and lock the shutters. It is hard work but it keeps us going through the week.
