If you come down to 15 Banashankari, you will definitely smell the rubber before you see the sign for Sri Guru Sai Rubber Industries. It’s just the way it is with this kind of work. We have been working with rubber here for quite some time now. The machines are old but they still get the job done if you know how to talk to them. It gets pretty loud inside the building when everything is running at once. We make all sorts of parts and bits that go into other things people use. Most days are spent on the floor checking the molds and making sure the heat is right. It’s dusty and hot but that is part of the trade. My clothes always end up smelling like the shop. We aren't a big corporation with fancy uniforms. Usually, we just wear whatever is comfortable and won't get ruined by the soot. Banashankari is a good area to be in though the parking is a bit of a nightmare sometimes. We have a small crew and we all know our roles. Sometimes the supply of raw materials is late and we have to shuffle the schedule around. It's just a regular factory doing regular stuff. We don't make a big fuss about things. We just stay busy and keep the machines moving until it is time to lock up and head home for the night.
