Sri Geetha Lubricants

The shop at 125 Koramangala VI Block has been my daily life for a long time. Being right opposite the New Passport Office means there is always a crowd outside and people are constantly asking for directions. At Sri Geetha Lubricants, we deal with a lot of heavy cans and barrels of oil. The air inside always smells a bit like grease and engine parts, which is something you just get used to after the first week. We have shelves stacked high with different brands and grades of oil, and sometimes it is a bit of a scramble to find exactly what a customer is looking for. Koramangala is a fancy area in some parts, but this corner feels more like a place where people actually get their hands dirty. My clothes usually have a few oil spots on them by the time I head home in the evening. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us moving stock and talking to the mechanics who come in for their supplies. The floor is concrete and stays cool even when it's hot outside, though it gets slippery if someone drops a cap. We don't do anything fancy here, just sell the lubricants that keep the local cars and bikes running. It is honest work and it keeps me busy from morning until the shutters go down at night. There is always a truck unloading something and more work to do.
