Sri Banashankari Engineering

Sri Banashankari Engineering is located at number 4 in the Bommasandra Chhotalal Chawl, right across from S K F. It’s a typical engineering workshop where there’s always the smell of oil and the sound of machines running. We do a lot of metalwork and fabrication, so the floor is usually covered in shavings and bits of scrap. It’s not a place for fancy clothes; we’re mostly in our work gear all day, getting our hands dirty. The shop is situated in a busy part of Bommasandra, and being opposite a big place like S K F means there’s constant traffic and activity outside our doors. We’ve got a few different machines packed into the space, and it can get a bit loud when everything is running at once. We don't have a big fancy office out front. Most of our time is spent right there on the shop floor, measuring things or operating the lathes. Sometimes a job is straightforward, and other times we have to spend a while figuring out the best way to cut or weld something. We take our work as it comes, whether it’s a small repair or a bigger part that needs making. The guys who work here have been doing this for years, so we just get on with it. It’s a practical environment where the focus is on the machines and the metal. We open early and stay until the day’s tasks are finished, which is just the way an engineering shop should be.
