Sri Balaji Paints & Hardwares

If you walk down Kengal Hanumanthaiah Road near the 26th A Main Ring Road, you will find Sri Balaji Paints & Hardwares at number 6. It is a typical hardware store where the shelves are packed from floor to ceiling with all sorts of things. We have tins of paint stacked up in the corners and rows of brushes and rollers hanging on the walls. The smell of thinner and fresh metal is always there when you walk in. It gets quite busy because of the Ring Road nearby, so there is always a lot of traffic and people stopping by in a hurry. We spend a lot of time mixing colors for people who can't decide exactly what shade of blue they want for their walls. It is a bit messy sometimes, with spills on the floor and dust on the older stock, but that is how a real hardware shop looks. We don't have any salespeople in suits here, just us in our regular clothes helping out whoever walks through the door. Sometimes people come in just to ask for a specific type of bolt or a hammer, and we have to go searching through the back to find it. It is a simple life and a simple business. We have been at this location for a while now and we know most of the contractors who work in this part of town. We just open up and stay until the sun goes down.
