Sri Balaji Painters

If you look for us in Koramangala, we’re over at 265 Krishnappa Nagar. It’s near the Sarjapur side and quite close to Amurthamma Engineering College. We are Sri Balaji Painters. Our shop is usually full of paint cans and brushes drying out. There’s always a faint smell of thinner in the air, which I’ve grown to like over the years. We aren't some big corporation with fancy uniforms. Usually, our clothes have a few spots of white or yellow paint on them by the end of the shift. It’s messy work but someone has to do it. The students from the college walk past our door all day long, so there is always some energy on the street. We started this place a long time ago with just a few ladders and a lot of grit. Now we have a bit more equipment, but the way we work is still the same. We just show up, get the walls ready, and start the job. We don't use any complicated software or big marketing plans. People in the neighborhood know where to find us when they need a room freshened up. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually take a break when the sun is at its highest. It is a simple life of manual labor and helping people make their houses look a bit cleaner.
