Spurthi Industries

Our workshop is at 65/4 in the KG Shivanna Building, right on the 4th Cross in Kamakshi Palya. It’s a part of the Kaverypuram area. Spurthi Industries is a practical place where we do a lot of making and fixing. The building is solid, and we have enough space for our machines and the raw materials we use every day. It’s noisy in here once the work starts, so we usually have to shout a bit to be heard over the equipment. We don't have any fancy office furniture or air conditioning. It’s just a workspace where we get things done. We’ve been in this part of Kamakshipalya for a while and the neighbors know us. Some days we are dealing with a lot of heavy lifting, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We aren't big on meetings or long emails; we just look at the job and start working on it. The floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or shavings, but that’s just how a real shop looks. We keep our tools organized in our own way, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. It is a straightforward way to earn a living. We open the shutters early and don't close them until the day's work is finished. Sometimes we have to work through lunch if a big order comes in. That is just the way it goes when you are running a small shop like ours.
