Spurthi Industries

Spurthi Industries is based in the K G Shivanna Building over at 65/4 Kamakshi Palya. We are tucked away on the 4th Cross in Venkatadri Layout. It’s an industrial spot, so there is always the sound of machinery or trucks idling nearby. We do a lot of small-scale manufacturing here. Our space is filled with metal scraps, oil stains on the concrete, and a few heavy machines that we’ve had for a long time. It’s a bit hot in the afternoons because the roof is low, but we just keep the fans going and stay at it. We aren't a big factory with hundreds of workers. It’s just a small crew of us who know how to run the equipment. We spend our days making parts and checking them against the orders we get. Sometimes we run behind schedule if a machine breaks down, which happens more often than we’d like. But we usually stay late to catch up when that happens. Most of the people who work here live nearby, so we walk or take the bus to the layout every morning. We don't have any fancy signs or a big lobby. People usually just come to the side door and talk to whoever is operating the lathe. It’s a gritty, honest kind of place where we just focus on getting the metal cut and the orders packed for whoever needs them.
