Down at 30 Bommasandra KIADB Industrial Area, things stay pretty busy. It’s a large space because batteries take up a lot of room and they aren't exactly light to move around. We spend a lot of time moving heavy stuff from one side of the floor to the other. Most of us have been working here for a long time, so we know the routine by heart. It gets quite warm in the summer months, especially with all the equipment running, but we have some fans going to keep the air moving. You can hear the forklifts driving back and forth all day. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit. We wear our work clothes and expect to get a bit dirty before the shift is over. Lunch breaks are usually spent sitting together talking about whatever is going on in the city or just catching a bit of rest. Bommasandra is a bit far out, so the commute can be a bit of a trek for some of the guys. We don't have a lot of visitors, just the delivery trucks and the occasional vendor coming through the gate. Everything is about making sure the plates and the acid and the casings all come together right. It's just a regular factory job, day in and day out. We try to keep things organized, even when it gets a bit chaotic during the big shipments.
