Soukya Hospital

Soukya Hospital is situated at N-17 in the NTI Layout, right on Wiparanapura Main Road. This part of the layout is always moving, and being on the main road means we get a lot of dust and noise coming in through the front. It’s a decent sized spot, but it feels smaller when the waiting room gets packed on a Monday morning. We’ve been here in NTI Layout for some time now, so most of the neighbors know where to find us. The building itself is nothing special to look at from the outside. Inside, it smells like cleaning fluid and old paper. We have some plants in the corner that we forget to water sometimes, and the magazines on the table are usually a few months out of date. It’s just the way things are when you’re busy with patients. The doctors are usually in a hurry, moving from one room to the next, and the staff at the desk are always on the phone. We don’t have a big cafeteria or anything, just a small space where people can sit. Sometimes the electricity cuts out for a minute and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which everyone is used to by now. It’s a local hospital for local people. We aren't trying to be anything more than that. We just show up, do the work, and deal with whatever the day brings.
