Solewarriors Foundation

We’re located at 259 on the 4th Cross in the 4th Block of Koramangala. If you know Bangalore, you know Koramangala is always moving. Our street is a bit tucked away, which is a relief from the main road traffic. The building is an older style house that’s been converted a bit for our use. We have a few rooms filled with supplies and a small area where we sit with our laptops. It’s not a polished tech office like some of the others nearby. We have some mismatched chairs and a table that wobbles if you lean on it too hard. Most days are spent planning out where we need to go and who we need to talk to. We get a lot of people walking by and peeking in to see what’s happening at number 259. We just tell them we’re a foundation and explain what’s going on that day. It’s very hands-on work here. We aren't sitting behind desks all day; we’re often out and about or moving things around the office. The 4th Block is a good place to be because everything is close by. We’ve gotten to know the local tea stall owner and the people at the stationery shop. It feels like we are part of the local fabric. We don't have a grand vision statement on the wall, just a calendar with a lot of scribbles on it. It’s basic, but it’s our way of doing things. It gets pretty humid in the afternoons.
