Vittal Mallya Scientific Research Foundation

The Vittal Mallya Scientific Research Foundation is tucked away over on K. R. Road. We use a post office box for most of our mail, but the actual work happens in the labs. We’ve been here for quite a long time now, focusing on science and research that actually means something for the real world. It’s not like those big high-tech parks you see in other parts of Bangalore. Our place is more about the long hours in the lab and writing up findings. We have a small team of researchers who have been with us for years. They know their way around the equipment and don't mind the quiet atmosphere. We don't really put out a lot of news or try to get into the papers. Most of what we do is just steady, careful experimentation. Sometimes a project takes years before we see any real results, and that’s just the nature of science. The area around K. R. Road has changed a lot since we started, but we just keep doing what we do. It’s a lot of reading, testing, and re-testing. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll just see people in lab coats focused on their work. We like it that way because it lets us concentrate on the science without any distractions. It's a bit of an old-school way of doing research, but it works for us.
