Sitadevi Ratanchand Nahar Adarsh College is right in the middle of Chamarajpet. If you know where TR Mills is, then you are basically there. We are at No.75 on Devanathachar Street. This is one of those older parts of Bangalore where everything feels a bit more crowded but also more familiar. The 5th Main road is always buzzing with people and vehicles. Our building has been part of this street for quite some time. It is not a quiet area, that's for sure. You can hear the sounds of the city all day long while classes are going on. We have students coming from all over, some taking the bus and others walking from the nearby residential lanes. The college setup is straightforward. We have the usual rooms for lectures and a small area for the office work. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open. People often stop by to ask for directions because Devanathachar Street can be a bit confusing if you aren't from around here. We just go about our business every day. There is a lot of history in Chamarajpet, and you can feel it when you walk around the block. We don't try to be something we aren't. It is just a local college where people come to get their degrees and move on with their lives. Most of us have been working here long enough to know all the tea stalls nearby and where to get the best coffee during our lunch breaks.
