Sikane

We have been here at Plot No. 1216/43 in Naroda for a while now. Most people around the G.I.D.C. Phase-Iv area know where we are because it is a busy spot. It is not a fancy place, just a regular workspace where we get things done every day. We started Sikane without much of a plan other than working hard and keeping the lights on. The building has its quirks, like the way the door sticks when it rains, but it suits us fine. There are a lot of other shops nearby, so the street stays pretty crowded with trucks and people moving back and forth. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer months in Gujarat, but that is just part of it. We do not spend much time decorating or making things look pretty for visitors. Mostly, we are just busy with the actual work. Our neighbors at the other plots usually wave when we walk by to get tea or lunch. It is a loud area with all the machinery running nearby, but you get used to the noise after a few days. We keep our tools organized as much as we can, though sometimes things get a bit messy when we are in the middle of a big job. That is just how life is here in Naroda. We stay open late most days to finish what needs doing before heading home.
