If you find yourself heading down the Jigani Link Road, you’ll eventually hit the industrial stretch where we are. Sigma Aldrich Company is located on Plot 12 in the Bommasandra area. It’s an industrial zone, so it’s all about trucks, dust, and hard work. Our building is a big, functional space. It isn't built for looks; it’s built for what we do inside. Most of the staff here have been commuting to Bommasandra for years. We know the shortcuts to avoid the worst of the Link Road traffic, but it’s still a trek. Inside Plot 12, it’s all business. We have the labs and the storage areas, and everything has its place. It’s not the kind of office where people sit around chatting all day. There is always a list of things that need to be checked or moved. We keep it pretty simple. No one wears suits here unless there’s a really big reason. It’s mostly just work clothes and getting things sorted. The air out here feels different than the city, more heavy with the sound of machinery from the neighboring plots. We’ve gotten used to it. It’s just the environment we operate in. We start the machines, check the logs, and keep the supply chain moving. It’s a steady rhythm that doesn't change much from Monday to Friday. We just keep our heads down and get the job done right at the plot.
