Working at Siemens Public Communication Networks Ltd. means being in the middle of the industrial hub at Udyog Vihar. We are situated at Plot No. 484-485 in Phase-III, Sector-20. This area is full of large buildings and lots of people heading to work every morning. Our building is pretty large and has a lot of different sections. It feels very busy, with people moving between floors and talking about technical things. Even though it is a big name, the actual day-to-day for us is just sitting at our desks and working through our tasks on the computer. We have a lot of cables and equipment around because of the communication side of things. The office is quite bright with all the lights, and there is always a low hum of the air conditioning. We have a canteen where most of us go to eat, which is a good break from the screens. The traffic in Udyog Vihar can be a bit of a nightmare in the evening, so everyone is usually eyeing the clock when it gets close to five or six. It is a professional place, but we still have our jokes and the usual office chat. We don’t really think about missions or visions; we just try to solve the problems that come up and keep the network stuff running as it should.
