Shankar Batteries

Shankar Batteries is located at 61 in Rajajinagar. It’s a straightforward shop that’s been part of the street for years. We mostly deal with lead-acid batteries and some smaller ones for home use. The shop is quite narrow, so we have to stack the stock high up on the shelves. You have to be careful when you're moving things around. There’s a distinct smell of acid and old metal in the air, but you get used to it after a week. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and the afternoons doing deliveries or installations. Rajajinagar is a busy area, so there’s always someone stopping by with a dead car battery. We have a small bench in the back where we do the charging and testing. It’s nothing fancy, just a couple of voltmeters and some cables. We don't have a uniform or anything, just our regular clothes that usually end up with a few holes from the battery fluid. The door hinges creak every time someone walks in, and we keep saying we'll oil them, but we never do. We’re just regular people doing a regular job.
