Shamal Gobindramn Chhabria

My name is Shamal and I run this business from 2 Lalbagh Road, just on the 5th Main Road behind Double Road. It’s a busy part of the city, and we’ve been tucked away here for a long time. The building is older and has its quirks, like a door that sticks in the monsoon and some creaky floorboards that tell us whenever someone is coming in. We don’t have a big sign out front, so you have to know where you’re going to find us. It’s mostly just me and a couple of others handling everything from the daily orders to the cleaning. We deal with a variety of things depending on what our customers need that week. The area is always crowded with vehicles and people heading towards Lalbagh, so it gets quite noisy throughout the afternoon. We have a small back room where we store most of our things, and the front area is where we meet anyone who stops by for a chat or a quote. It’s a very local way of doing business. We know the people in the shops next to us and we often help each other out with small things. I don’t use any fancy systems, just a notebook and some basic records to keep track of what’s happening each day. It’s not a high-tech setup, but it works fine for us. We just try to be fair and do what we say we’re going to do.
