Shakti Auto Cam is located in Mahadevapura on street number 223. It’s an industrial part of town, so there is always a lot of dust and noise from the other shops nearby. We mostly deal with metal parts for cars and machines. The workshop is not very big, and it can get quite cramped when we have a lot of raw materials sitting on the floor. We have a few old lathes and some newer equipment that we use for the cam work. It’s usually just a small group of us here, and we’ve worked together for a long time. The street outside is narrow, so when the delivery trucks come, it’s always a bit of a struggle to get them parked properly. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. If someone wants to talk to us, they usually just walk right into the shop. The floor is almost always stained with some oil or grease, no matter how much we try to clean it at the end of the day. We have a small table in the back where we sit and have our tea breaks while the machines are cooling down. It’s a pretty simple life here, just making sure the pieces we produce are the right size and that the orders get out on time. The work is repetitive, but we’re used to the rhythm of the shop now and just take it one day at a time.
