Our office is up on the second floor of Shiva Mansion. It’s number 149/2 on Airport Road. If you know Konena Agrahara, you know how the traffic can get around the 4th Cross in Shamraj Layout. We spend a lot of time on the phones and staring at computer screens here. Shipping is mostly about waiting for updates and making sure papers are signed. It’s not the most exciting work, but it fills the day. The building itself, Shiva Mansion, is okay, though the stairs can be a bit much if the lift is acting up again. We have desks covered in folders and old coffee mugs. It gets a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time. You can hear the planes taking off because we are so close to the airport road. It becomes a sort of background noise after a few weeks of working here. We mostly deal with logistics and moving things from one place to another. Sometimes there are delays, and that’s just how the shipping business works. We don’t try to make it sound like something it isn't. It’s just a bunch of us in an office trying to keep track of containers and trucks. Shamraj Layout is a busy little pocket of the city. We’ve been in this spot for a bit now and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood.
