Seagate Logistics

Seagate Logistics is tucked away on the 10th floor of Mittal Towers, B Wing, right on Mahathma Gandhi Road. Being at No 39, we have a pretty good view of the street, though we spend most of our time looking at shipping manifests and tracking numbers on our screens. Moving things from one place to another sounds easy enough until you actually try to do it across borders or long distances. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to drivers and warehouse people. It can get a bit stressful when a shipment gets stuck somewhere, but we just keep at it until it moves again. The office isn't anything fancy, just desks, computers, and a lot of coffee cups. We have been here for a bit and have seen MG Road change quite a lot over the years. We mostly deal with the paperwork and the coordination side of things. It’s a lot of double-checking addresses and making sure the timing works out for the trucks. Sometimes we stay late because of time zone differences with other places. It’s not a glamorous job, just a lot of logistics and problem-solving. We try to be straightforward with people about how long things will take. No point in making promises if the weather or the roads aren't cooperating. Just trying to keep the goods moving from one place to another without causing too much trouble for anyone.
