Sateesh Nursing Home

If you’ve ever driven down Hosur Road through the Bommasandra Industrial Area, you know how tough the traffic is. The trucks are everywhere and the dust never really settles. Our nursing home is right in the Kiadb Housing Complex, so we are surrounded by all that industry. Most of the people who come to see us are workers from the nearby factories or people who live in the government housing. It’s a practical kind of place. We don’t have a fancy lobby with paintings on the walls. It’s mostly just tiled floors, metal chairs, and the sound of the machines from the street. I start the day by checking the registers and seeing who stayed overnight. It can get very hot in the afternoons, and the fans just move the warm air around. The staff here are used to the noise of the industrial zone. We handle a lot of work-related injuries and common fevers. It’s a place where people come because it’s close to where they work or live. The building itself is quite plain, and we don’t spend much time worrying about how it looks. As long as the beds are clean and we can see the patients, it’s fine. It’s a busy, gritty part of town, and the nursing home fits right in with the rest of the neighborhood.
