You can find Sas Machine Tools Pvt Ltd on the first floor over in Mahalakshmipuram Layout. We are at No. 5, just a short walk from the Nandini Theatre. If you see the theater, you are basically there. It’s a busy little stretch of the neighborhood with plenty of shops and people walking by. Our place is up on the first floor of the building in the Galayara Balaga area. Carrying heavy parts up and down those stairs can be a real workout sometimes, but we’re used to it by now. The work here is mostly about precision and making sure the machine tools are ready for whatever job they’re going to do next. It gets a bit cramped in here when we have a lot of stock, but we make it work. Most of the staff has been around for years, so we know where every single nut and bolt is kept, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. The area stays pretty lively because of the 3rd Main road and the people heading to the movies. We hear the crowd from the theater every now and then. It’s a decent place to work, even if the stairs are a pain on hot days. We just keep our heads down and focus on the machinery. There is always someone tinkering with a lathe or checking a drill. It’s just us doing the work we know how to do best without any fuss or fancy titles.
