Sanjay K Mahendarkar

I am Sanjay K Mahendarkar and I’ve been working out of this space at 24 Banaswadi on the 1st floor for quite some time now. Banaswadi is a bit of a maze if you don't know your way around, but number 24 is a pretty solid landmark once you get on the right street. Being on the first floor is nice because I can look out the window and see what's happening on the road below, even if it’s just watching the rain or the traffic jams. The office itself is nothing special. It’s got four walls, some desks, and a lot of things I’ve collected over the years. It’s a bit cluttered, to be honest, but that’s just how I prefer to work. I don't like those empty, sterile offices. I like having my books and papers where I can see them. I usually get here quite early before the rest of the building wakes up. It’s the only time it’s actually quiet enough to think. By mid-morning, the whole area is loud with the sounds of local life. I’ve lived in this city all my life, so I’m used to it. People who come to see me usually have to call first because the door at the bottom of the stairs is sometimes locked if the ground floor guy is away. It’s just a small operation here, nothing fancy, just me doing my thing day in and day out.
