Saina Electronics (India) Regd. is over at No. 9, Ranjani Priya Nagar. We are on Aaraichikuppam Road in the Semmandalam area. It’s a decent spot, away from the worst of the city traffic. Our place is quite modest. It’s not one of those high-tech labs you see on TV. It’s just a room with some workbenches, a few soldering irons, and a lot of spare parts in plastic bins. We’ve been here for several years now. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it’s pretty quiet during the day. Sometimes we have to deal with the occasional power cut, which can be a bit annoying when you’re in the middle of a delicate repair. We have a small staff of people who actually enjoy fiddling with electronics. We don't have a marketing budget or a website that looks all polished. We just do our work. Most of the people who come to us are local folks or small businesses that need something fixed. We don't use a lot of technical jargon when we talk to people. We just explain what’s wrong in plain English. The office has a bit of an old smell to it—sort of like dusty electronics and tea. We spend a lot of time sitting down, so we try to get up and walk around the block every now and then. It’s a simple, honest business. We don't make big promises, we just try to be helpful to anyone who walks in.
