Sagar Appliances

Avenue Road is always a bit of a mess with all the traffic and people, but that’s where Sagar Appliances is located at number 325. We have been here in this building for quite a long time. Our shelves are usually pretty full because we try to keep a bit of everything on hand. People come in looking for parts or new things for their kitchens and homes. It’s a small shop, so things can get a bit cramped when three or four people are inside at once. We don't have fancy displays or bright lights. It’s more about having what people need when they need it. The street outside is loud with vendors shouting and bikes honking all day long. Sometimes it feels like the whole city is passing by our door. We spend a lot of time answering the phone and checking what’s in the back room. My father used to say that a good shop is one where you can find the smallest screw or a whole new stove. We try to keep that spirit going without making a big fuss about it. It’s honest work and we like seeing the same faces return over the years. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in Bangalore, just a reliable one here on Avenue Road. Most mornings we start by sweeping the dust from the doorway and checking the new stock that came in overnight to make sure everything is where it belongs.
