You can find Safe Tools Manufacturing Co over on Narasimharaja Road. We’re situated in India House, which is a pretty well-known building in this part of the city. To get to us, you have to go up to the second floor, room 64/3. The area around N R Road is always packed with traffic and people going about their business, so it’s never really a dull moment outside our windows. Inside, we’re mostly busy with the manufacturing side of things. It’s a lot of manual work and making sure the tools are being put together right. We don’t have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a workspace filled with the smell of metal and the sound of machines running. Some of us have worked here for years and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, though India House stays pretty much the same. We take our work seriously, even if the office looks a bit lived-in with all the stuff piled up. Getting things out the door on time is what we focus on most of the day. It’s a practical environment for practical people. We don’t spend time on long meetings or anything unnecessary. Just manufacturing tools and keeping the shop running as best as we can in the middle of all the N R Road hustle.
