S V T College

S V T College is located at No. 119 in the 3rd Stage of Vijayanagar, Mysore. This area has grown a lot over the last few years, but our spot remains pretty much the same. It’s a straightforward building. We aren't a massive campus with hundreds of acres; we are just a local college building integrated into the neighborhood. Most of our students live nearby, so they just walk or cycle over in the mornings. The atmosphere here is very relaxed. We don't have security guards in suits or big electronic gates. You just walk through the main entrance. The classrooms have high ceilings and the usual rows of desks. Some of the windows don't close perfectly, so you get a bit of the outside air coming in. I spend a lot of time in the office area, which is usually piled high with papers and old records. It’s a bit messy, but I know where everything is. Mysore has a certain rhythm to it, and we follow that here. We don't rush through things. If someone wants to talk about their classes, we just sit down and have a chat. There isn't a lot of "corporate" feeling here. It is just a place for learning and getting through the syllabus. We have a small staff and we all do a bit of everything, from answering the phone to fixing a broken chair. It's just how we run things.
