S Nijalingappa College

S Nijalingappa College is a well-known spot in the 2nd Block of Rajajinagar in Bangalore. It’s a large building at number 182 and it’s been part of the neighborhood for many years. You can see the students standing around the entrance or walking over from the nearby bus stops at all hours of the morning. The college is quite big, so there are always lots of people moving through the corridors. We have different departments for science, commerce, and arts, and each floor has its own feel. The labs are usually busy with students doing experiments, and the classrooms have those old-style wooden benches that have been carved with names over the decades. It’s a very lived-in space. We have a canteen that gets incredibly crowded during the breaks, and the smell of coffee and snacks is always around. The library is a bit quieter, but even there, it’s hard to find a seat during exam months. We don't go for anything too flashy; the focus is just on the lectures and getting through the syllabus. The administrative office is always buried under piles of folders and forms. Rajajinagar is a busy area with lots of shops and houses, so the college feels like a natural part of the local life. It’s just a place where thousands of young people come every day to get their work done.
