Being on Lalbagh Road means dealing with a lot of traffic and people looking for parking. S G Auto Batteries is at number 104, right in the middle of all that noise. It is a practical kind of place. We have stacks of batteries everywhere and the smell of lead and acid is just something you get used to after a few days. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be careful how we stack things so nothing tips over. Most of our day is spent lifting heavy stuff and testing connections. It is hard on the back, but that is the job. We have been at this 104 Lalbagh Road location for a good bit of time. The sidewalk outside is always busy with people walking toward the gardens or looking for car parts. We keep a small desk in the corner for paperwork, but it’s usually covered in tools and stray wires. There is a ceiling fan that squeaks a little, but it keeps the air moving when the afternoon sun hits the front window. S G Auto Batteries isn't trying to be anything fancy. We just show up, handle the battery issues that come our way, and close up when the sun goes down. It is honest work and the people who live around here know where to find us. We don't bother with big ads or anything like that. We just focus on the batteries.
