S Chandra Mohan operates out of the 1st floor of the Shiv Surbhi Apartment, which is at 5 Sampangiram Nagar. It’s a residential building, so it feels a lot more like a home than a typical office. You have to walk up the stairs since there isn't a big elevator, but it’s only the first floor so it's not too bad. The apartment has been converted into a workspace with some desks and plenty of shelves for files. It’s a quiet corner of Sampangiram Nagar, which is nice when you need to focus on work. I don’t have a big sign outside, just a small one near the door. People who come here usually know me already or were told about me by a friend. We don't have a lot of walk-in traffic because we aren't on the main road. That suits me just fine. It allows us to get things done without too many interruptions. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Sometimes we have the windows open to let in a breeze, though you can still hear the city noise in the distance. We handle a lot of different tasks, mostly involving legal or administrative stuff that requires a lot of reading. It’s not exciting work for everyone, but it’s what we do.
