Royal Building Materials & Hardware Tools

If you know S P Road, you know it’s always packed with people and carts. Our shop, Royal Building Materials & Hardware Tools, is up on the first floor at 165/1 C. It’s a bit of a climb with heavy bags, but we’re used to it by now. The Mariswamaccahp building has been around for ages. Being on S P Road means there is never a quiet moment. You hear the horns and the shouting from the street all day long. Inside, we have stacks of hardware and building supplies everywhere. It might look a bit messy to someone walking in for the first time, but we know exactly where every bolt and hammer is kept. We don't have a big fancy showroom. It’s more of a warehouse feel where we just get things done. People come to us when they are in the middle of a project and realized they forgot something small. We spend a lot of time moving boxes and counting inventory. It’s honest work. The air is always a bit metallic smelling because of all the tools we keep. Some of the guys have been working here since they were young. We’ve seen shops come and go on this street, but we’re still here. It’s a tough spot to work in sometimes because of the crowd, but it’s home for us. We just keep the doors open and wait for the next person to walk up the stairs and ask for help.
