Riniwa Wood Works

Our workshop is at 3-6521 on Bannerghatta Main Road, over in Basavanapura. We are right near Sherwood School. You can usually tell you are close because of the smell of fresh wood and the sound of our saws. We have been working with wood for a long time. It is a messy job with sawdust everywhere, but we don't mind. The shop is filled with planks of different sizes and all our tools are spread out. We don't have a fancy office or a showroom. If someone wants to see what we are making, they just walk into the workshop. It is a small team, just a couple of us doing all the cutting and sanding. We don't use big automated machines. Most of it is done by hand or with simple power tools. Sometimes we have to work outside if the piece is too large. It is hard work and our backs often ache by the end of the day. But it is good to see something finished and solid. We have lived in this area for years, so we know many of the people who walk past. We don't do any advertising. People just see our sign and come in. It is a very basic way to run a business, and that suits us just fine. We enjoy the smell of the timber.
