You can find us at 2 Avenue Road, specifically Plot No 29 in Sector 6 A. Avenue Road is a place everyone knows for being packed with people and shops. Our spot at Reliance International is a bit of a mix of things. We have this plot that’s stacked with all kinds of items we deal with. It isn't a showroom by any means. It’s more of a functional space where we handle the inventory and talk to the people who come in from the street. The stairs are a bit narrow and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn't stop us from getting things done. We deal with a lot of international stuff, but the way we run the shop is very local. It’s a lot of shouting across the room to see if someone has seen a particular shipping bill or a box. The traffic on Avenue Road is legendary, so we try to get our big movements done very early or very late. Otherwise, you’re just stuck in the jam. Sector 6 A is a bit more manageable, but it still has that busy market energy. We don’t spend much on making things look pretty. My chair has a squeak that I keep meaning to oil, but I never get around to it. It’s those small things you just live with when you are busy. It’s a long day, and the air is always thick with the smell of the market, but it’s home for us.
