Rc Architecture

Our studio is at 14 Serpentine Street in Richmond Town. It’s an old part of Bangalore, and we like the feel of the area. The street itself is a bit narrow, which makes parking a bit of a nightmare sometimes, but it has character. We work out of this space, mostly doing design and planning for various projects. There are usually a few of us hunched over computers or looking at big printed maps. It’s a pretty quiet office for the most part, though things can get hectic when we have to finish a set of drawings. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that; usually, whoever is closest to the door just gets up to see who it is. We spend a lot of time talking about materials, costs, and how to make things functional. It’s very practical work. We’ve been in this building for some time and have gotten used to the quirks of the plumbing and the way the light hits the desks in the afternoon. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm in the city. We just want to do good work on the projects we have. Richmond Town is a nice place to be based, even with the traffic on the main roads nearby. It’s a solid, honest place to work.
