Inside, we have desks piled with papers and samples of what we handle. We talk to a lot of different people every day—vendors, long-time customers, and the occasional person who wanders in because they saw our sign. We don't do much in the way of marketing. Usually, people know us through family connections or because they've done business with us for years. We handle the daily tasks as they come. If someone has a question about an order or a specific product, we just look it up and give them an answer. It’s a very hands-on way of doing things. We stay busy enough without needing to be flashy. Being on the first floor makes it easy for folks to drop in and have a quick chat about what they need. It’s just how we’ve always run things.
