If you go down towards Crawford Market in Yelahanka, you will find us at number 22. It’s a very crowded part of Bangalore, so there is always something going on right outside our doors. The college is where we spend most of our time, either in the small classrooms or checking the equipment in the labs. Nursing is hard work and the students here know that from day one. They come in early wearing their white uniforms and you can see them walking from the bus stop or getting off at the market area. We have been here for a good amount of time and the neighbors know us well. The building isn't very large but we make use of every corner we have. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy because of the market traders nearby, but once you are inside, everyone is focused on their books and their practice. We don't really do much advertising because people just find us by word of mouth or by seeing the sign when they are out shopping for groceries. The staff room is always full of tea cups and stacks of papers to grade. It’s a simple setup but it works for what we need to do. Bangalore is a busy city and being located in Yelahanka means there is always a lot of movement. We just keep doing our thing, day after day, helping these young people learn what they need to know before they go off to work in hospitals.
