The shop is located at 43 Agrahara Dasarahalli, and it’s usually pretty dusty from all the construction going on nearby. We’ve got shelves stacked high with cans of paint and bins full of different sized nails and bolts. If you walk in, you’ll probably smell that mix of metal and thinner that sticks to everything. It’s not a huge place, so things are tucked into every corner they can fit. We spend most of our mornings unloading supplies or helping people find exactly which washer they need for a leaky tap. Sometimes we have to hunt through the back for a specific shade of paint someone saw years ago. The floors aren’t exactly spotless, but we try to sweep up the sawdust when we can. It’s a local place where people stop by on their way home to grab a hammer or some sandpaper. We know most of the guys who work in the neighborhood and what they usually need for their jobs. Being in Agrahara Dasarahalli means there is a lot of foot traffic, especially in the evenings. We keep the counter clear enough to do the math on the receipts, though there’s usually a ledger or two sitting there. It’s just a normal hardware store where we try to keep the basics in stock. If we don’t have it, we usually know where you might find it. It’s a simple way to make a living.
