R K Tools Centre

If you head over to 230 Krishnarajendra Road and go up to the first floor, you’ll find R K Tools Centre. It’s not the easiest place to spot from the street, but once you’re up here, it’s all tools. We have stuff hanging on the walls and piled on tables. Most of the people who come in are regulars who know exactly what they want, though we get the occasional person who isn't sure which wrench or drill bit they need. I’ve spent a lot of years handling these items, so I usually have a decent idea of what will work for a particular job. The space is a bit tight, especially when we get a fresh delivery of crates, but we manage. Krishnarajendra Road is always noisy, but it’s a good place for a business like this since there is so much activity nearby. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us making sure things get sold and the books stay balanced. It’s nothing fancy, just a workplace where we focus on the hardware. We open early because that’s when the contractors and builders are out looking for supplies before they head to their sites. It’s been this way for years, and we don’t plan on changing much. Just a straightforward tool shop on the first floor. Sometimes the stairs are a bit of a climb with heavy boxes, but we are used to it by now.
