Puyvast Maritime India Ltd

We are over at No.6, Puyvast House, on Harris Road in Benson Town. It’s a quieter residential area compared to the busy ports, but we keep things moving from here. At Puyvast Maritime India Ltd, we work out of what used to be a regular house, so the office has a bit of a strange layout with desks in different rooms. We handle maritime logistics and shipping coordination, which means we are usually tied to our phones or sending emails to people in different time zones. The walls have some maps pinned up and a few old calendars we haven't taken down yet. There’s a small garden area outside that we sometimes sit in during our break if it isn't raining. We have a small team and most of us have been here for years, so we know how to work around each other. Sometimes the gate squeaks when someone comes in, and we keep meaning to oil it but always forget. It’s a practical environment without any corporate frills. We spend our day checking vessel positions and making sure the cargo manifests are correct. It’s steady work that requires a lot of attention to detail. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that; it’s just a house where we do our maritime business every day. We prefer it this way because it feels more like a workplace than a big office building.
